Art, Crafts & Foods Along the Scenic Byways of the Adirondack North Country
Celebrates the handmade of the region with self guided driving tours along the Scenic Byways to 60 studios and shops:
- northwest (St.Lawrence River - Thousand Islands - Northern Adirondacks)
- northeast (High Peaks - Lake Champlain)
- southwest (Central Adirondacks - Tug Hill Plateau - Lake Ontario - Mohawk Valley)

St.Lawrence River - Thousand Islands - Northern Adirondacks


The Farmers' Circuit
Some 30 people passionate about their art or craft: artisan, wine maker, cider maker, farmer, breeder, chef and innkeeper. This tour of the St. Lawrence River valley is at the northern foot of the Adirondacks in Canada, between the Richelieu River and Lake St. Francis. May - Sept. Printed and on the web publication.


Gardenshare
For farm fresh food and local products from some 50 artisan farmers who live in the St. Lawrence River Valley and northwest Adirondack Foothills. Seasonal and/or year-round. Printed and on the web publication.


Dingman Point Artist Annual Studio Tour
The annual Dingman Point Artist Studio Tour takes place on the first Saturday and Sunday of August, from 10:00am - 5:00pm and Sunday, from 10:00am to 3:00pm. On St. Lawrence River near Alexandria Bay.


St. Lawrence County Arts Council Annual Artists' Studio Tour
St. Lawrence River - Northwest Adirondack Foothills. 35 to 40 studios. First weekend in November.





High Peaks - Lake Champlain


Adirondack Harvest
Farm fresh foods and food products from some 80 artisan farmers who live in the Champlain Valley High Peaks region. Seasonal and/or year-round. Printed and online publication. Farm Tours in September from first Saturday to second Sunday


Third Thursday Gallery Walks
Downtown Saranac Lake, June, July, August, Sept. on the third Thursday. 4:30 to 7:00 pm. 15 galleries, studios and shops. Pick up maps at participating locations - look for ballons. Small Fortune Studio, 518.891.1139.


Plein Air Studio Tour
July, first Saturday, 2 - 5pm. Arts Council for the Northern Adirondacks and the Westport Chamber of Commerce are sponsoring a Plein Air and Artist Studio Tour to celebrate the upcoming Lake Champlain Quadricentennial. FMI: Dee Carroll, 518.962.4899 or Caroline Rubino, 518.962.8778.


Jay Artisans Studio Tour
July, third Saturday, 10-6. Where beauty and creativity meet. Seventeen studios and shops. Painters, potters, bakers, Alpacas, B&Bs and others. Enjoy spectacular views on back roads of High Peaks. Once a year chance to see many of these studios. Printed and online publication.


Artist At Work Studio Tour
September, last Friday - Sunday. Visit some 30 studios from Paul Smiths to Wilmington. Sponsor, Adirondack Artists Guild, Saranac Lake. Printed and online publication. 2007 first year.


Museum Without Walls Walking Tour
Self guided tour of the permanent exhibition of monumental sculpture, mostly contemporary, located throughout Plattburgh State University Campus, Lake Champlain. Year-round. Printed publication.


First Friday Art Walk
Opens the doors of Burlington's visual arts community. Hop on a bus, join a guided tour, or walk independently the first Friday of every month. 5 to 8 pm.





Central Adirondacks - Tug Hill Plateau - Lake Ontario - Mohawk Valley


Spring Studio Tour
The tour, sponsored by and exhibiting the works of many of the Adirondack Artisans Guild (AAG), includes four sites located between Lowville and Croghan, three of which will be hosting multiple artists. Second Saturday in May. 2008 first year. Flyers and maps can be downloaded from website or Gallery 812 located at Wild Root Bookstore, 7617 North State Street, Lowville.


Utica Monday Nite
Initiated in 1997, its mission is to promote a regional arts economy by making the arts and humanities available and accessible to all Utica residents and visitors from the wider region. Utica Monday Nite accomplishes these two goals by presenting a summer arts and humanities festival in downtown parks and public spaces on thirteen Monday nights from June through August. Events and activities are offered free to the public.


Oswego County Artists Studio Tour
North Wind Yarns & Weaving Company will be participating in the Oswego County Artists’ Studio Tour sponsored by Arts & Culture for Oswego County on first weekend of June. Contact: email. Pdf of studio tour upon request.


Fall Driving Tour
A drive-it-yourself First Sunday of October tour sponsored by the Lewis County Chamber of Commerce takes you to different areas on the Tug Hill Plateau to Lake Ontario each year, with entertaining and interesting stops and points of interest along the way.





Saratoga - Lake George - Sacandaga Valley - Hudson Valley - Mohawk Valley - Southern Adirondacks


Washington County Fiber Tour
14 family farms. Drive from farm to farm through scenic hills and vales. Visit with alpacas, goats, llamas, rabbits and sheep. See homecrafted yarns, weavings, knitted items, fleeces and more. Learn about spinning, knitting, weaving and felting. First Sat. and Sun. of May from 10 to 5.

Albany Saratoga Pottery Trail
8 potters at 6 studios in wonderful settings in the country to the city in the Saratoga region. Open Studio tour in early May. Visitors welcome during season. Refer to hours. Printed and on the web publication.


Third Thursday Art Walk
Downtown Glens Falls. April through October. Artist receptions and art displays at many sites.


First Saturday Art Walk
In downtown Saratoga Springs on the first Saturday of each month from 7 - 9 pm. Maps are available at the Arts Center and at participating sites.


Annual Focal Points Salem Area Arts & Agriculture Studio/Gallery/Farm Self Guided Tour of Washington County
Enjoy the second Saturday and Sunday in August, in and around Salem (just to the east of Saratoga Springs) visiting artists in their studios and discovering the many dimensions of agriculture from alpacas to angora rabbits as well as mouth-watering sweet corn and farm fresh berries. Fifty Adirondack Authors, Musicians and Storytellers
Second Tuesday in August. Some 1000 people attend annual gathering of authors at Hoss's Country Corner, Long Lake. Book signing and entertainment. 7- 9 pm.


Annual Country Christmas Tour
On Thanksgiving weekend in Indian Lake, Blue Mountain Lake and Sabael, visit crafters and businesses, entertainment at the Theater, tour Open Houses, workshop displays and Christmas Tree Lighting. Maps at participating locations. Contact Mary Vianese at 518.648.5740


Christmas in the Country
