Farmers' Markets in and near the Adk NCCraftspeople are exhibiting more and more at farmers' markets throughout the continent. For many, the reasonable booth fees and short show times coupled with rewarding sale figures are replacing revenue loss from decreased sales from wholesale accounts and/or direct retail sales, both at studio shops and craft shows.
Across the 14 counties in upstate NY, the average growth in recent years in sales tax revenue for specialty retailers has only been 1.46% (statistics from NYS government website).
The individual farmers' market listings below indicate that Korths, Craft Programs Coordinator/ANCA, has heard from at least one craftsperson that they have done repeatedly well at the market.
