Adirondack North Country Association Helping Studios and Shops Reach New Markets
The Adirondack North Country Association (ANCA) invites studios and shops who sell regional made or grown product to connect with a broader market of visitors and residents.
You are invited to sign up and participate in the 2007 Art, Crafts and Foods along the Scenic Byways of the Adirondack North Country publication. The 2007 edition will build on the 2006 stylized graphic design, increase in size, and incorporate even more cultural offerings. It is intended to appeal to visitors and residents who appreciate regionally made and grown products and continues to be the only regional non-ad based publication of its kind.
Participants will have an opportunity to promote their products and services to an extensive market of tourists, residents, and byway travelers. Forty thousand copies will be distributed throughout the fourteen counties of northern New York.
With a visually pleasing design format, complete with representative photos from each business, the publication will show a variety of images of the owners, exteriors, interiors, products, or acts of creation with accompanying succinct narrative description identifying the uniqueness of individual businesses. Nadia Korths, Craft Programs Coordinator for ANCA, works with each business to develop the copy which highlights the best of each business.
Beyond spotlighting your business in the printed publication, participants will gain additional visibility through ANCA’s posting of the online version of the Art, Crafts and Foods along the Scenic Byways of the Adirondack North Country reaching an untold number of Internet users.
The regional map in the center fold is the same colorful one that ANCA uses in major byway publications and that Adirondack Harvest uses both online and for their own printed publication.
Members of Adirondack Harvest, Franklin County Cornell Cooperative Extension, Gardenshare, Made in Lewis County, Adirondack North Country Trading Cooperative, art councils and other non profit service or member organizations are welcome to participate.
The entry fee is $80 with an early bird special rate of $70 for applications postmarked by January 31st. Visit www.AdkNCcrafts.com to apply online or to view the 2006 Art, Crafts and Foods along the Scenic Byways of the Adirondack North Country.
