Buyer Days Exhibitor Highlights and May 10th Marketing Toolkit Workshop Sign-up

Buyer Days

Returning Exhibitors (clockwise from left): Rusticwood.com, Uncle Charlie's Products, From the Pines Studio, Nancy Miller Jewelry Designs, Bear Man Specialties, and Aromas Galore

Nineteen exhibitors new to Buyer Days have been juried. The three metal makers: Studio Yates, Adirondack Metal Designs, Junker Studios, each have very different styles. There will be a wide range of print styles and media available from seven artists, ranging from folk primitive, Cate Mandigo, to paintings on free standing blocks of wood, Heart Art, to very detailed paintings on fungus, Deb's Acrylics and oil paintings of Adirondack landscapes from Hudson Art Gallery. Blueberry vinegar, Hill and Hollow, and pecan honey will be tempting to taste. Well-dressed Foods (pecan honey) and the Adirondack Mountain Furniture Company, with European folding chair, Adirondack rocking chair, and Mission style and children's product lines, both in their first year of producing their work, already have excellent packaging and marketing in place. The jury was most favorably impressed with the wooden door knockers from Alexanders. These humorous carvings of birds and animals are rendered with a fine artist's touch. From the Gardens is coming back with a new product line: scarves, sashes, belts and small purses made of vintage Kimono silks. Buyers will be able to meet Kim Meade, the new owner of Adirondack Chandler, and other new business owners as well.

Buyer Days is the only gift trade show in the region where buyers can order directly from the makers. With 20 more exhibitors registered at this time compared with last year's records, buyers are likely to be able to order directly from a record breaking 80 artisans, food producers, artists, musicians and book publishers. All registered exhibitors are described with product descriptions and links and booth images, when available, at Buyer Days.

Preregister for Buyer Days to receive a final list of vendors, show badges and directions to the City Center a few days before the show. Indicate in your email registration if you are attending the Marketing seminar on Thursday at 12 noon. Seminar attendees participate in a critique of a nearby shop which sells only North American work. For those of you who have preregistered, you may continue to receive show invitational postcards in the mail.
