North Main Gallery was founded in 1999 as “ARTS 220 Gallery & Studio” by artist Ruth Sauer as an outgrowth of her love of art and her experience and training as a painter, printmaker and teacher. In 2006 Ruth renovated a historic building in the heart of Salem into a teaching studio and art gallery. The Gallery features exhibitions of selected works by artists from the region. The styles range from contemporary to classic.
